Gas Buddy for the iPhone is a free app that lets users save money on gas by pulling up listings of gas stations in the US and Canada with prices, filtered and sorted by distance and price with a variety of search options.

The UI is straightforward with a search bar to search gas prices by city, state, or zip and three icons to "Find Gas Near Me", Member Login, and Settings. Find Gas Near Me automatically loads stations near you, sorted by type of gas, with tabs for Regular, Midgrade, Premium, and Diesel displaying the relevant information. Each station displays a logo, gallon price, an address, and distance (in miles by default) sorted from nearest to farthest. In addition, you can switch between Map and List views. Reloading the app will pull up the latest updates, all by Gas Buddy members.

The Settings menu offers quick options to view listings intuitively with search preferences adjustments by "Sort by" (distance or price), fuel type, and default distance unit. Gas Buddy relies on regular updates by users around the country; a neat tool for anyone looking to save money or help others save money on gas.
